Eastern Hills & Murray Plains Catchment Group Inc is a community association that has developed a plan for its region. The Local Action Plan addresses natural resource management issues such as biodiversity protection and enhancement, sustainable use of water resources and productive and sustainable land management. The group is one of eleven such community groups addressing local issues in the South Australian Murray Darling Basin.

The EHMPCG operates in an area from the South Eastern Freeway in the south and north to around Truro and from the top of the catchment in eastern Mount Lofty Ranges down the escarpment and towards the River Murray. The group sources funds from State and Federal Governments as well as philanthropic groups to undertake work. EHMPCG manages an incentives program that assists land owners with their on ground works and assists LandCare and other community groups with their projects.
